We want you to come and enjoy this wonderful part of France with the least possible hassle, so we are including, if you would like, a simple three-course supper on arrival night.

There will be obvious basic starter stocks in the kitchen. (If it helps, we will also be happy to shop for further supplies for you in advance and this bill can be settled up when you arrive.)

We are in the centre of the well known Touraine wine region. The wines are wonderful for summer drinking, light and fruity single blend varieties, not blended: Gamay, Cabernet, Cot, Sauvignon, and of course the lovely bubbly wine made by the Champagne Method for which the region is famous.

There will also be:
The use of our large sunny garden.
A croquet set.
Bar-B-Q.
Cookery and travel books.

More mundanely:
Bed linen, towels and kitchen tea towels, etc.
Gas, water and electricity.

There is a mast nearby and we can get 100% mobile reception.

Christopher is a map fanatic so we can lend you practically any map of any detail you wish of the area!

If we are lucky with the weather and the birds don’t get there first, in the month of June we will have bitter cherries for preserving, also lovely little golden Mirabelles at the end of July, and in mid August we will have seven types of eating grapes to try .

Finally, as we have been here for 20 years we can help you, if you would like, decide what to do - which chateaux to see, which market is on which day; where to buy oysters, which is the best local cheese, what boulangerie is open on a Monday and most difficult of all, where to find the regional specialty of ‘Rillions’ while they are still warm and oozing tasty juices.

It’s all so Yum! Yum! Do come!
Our 17th Century cottage just around the corner from the ‘Little House’.
