‘The Little House’ is owned by Christopher
and Heather Cowdy who specialise in antique French beds.
To this end it is furnished with antiques and a little fantasy, to be
their visitors' house close to their own 17th Century farmhouse.
It is 1 mile from the village of Orbigny and completely off the tourist
trail. Yet 20 minutes in the car will take you to many chateaux, forests,
restaurants and country markets.
Orbigny, which has a butcher, baker and small general store, is in the
departement of Indre et Loire (37), approximately midway between Blois,
to the north and Loches, to the south.

The
Region is a foodie Paradise!
The Little House is available to rent for UK£580 per week.
If only two people are coming the price will be UK£500.
|
There are deliriously cheap air connections from both
Stansted and Dublin to Tours, where it is simple to hire a car, and
Autoroute connections from the coast to within 20km of Orbigny.
We want you to come and enjoy this wonderful part of France with the
least possible hassle so we are including, if you would like, supper
on arrival night. Basic stocks are provided in the kitchen, a bottle
of different local wine each day, Internet broadband connection, linen
and of course gas and electricity.
Most unfortunately ‘The Little House’
is not suitable for people who have problems with steps or stairs. It
is an old property and there is nothing we can do about it.
We have to say NO to children under 10 except for little, non crawling
babies.
Smoking is allowed.
