| ‘The Little House’ is owned by Christopher
and Heather Cowdy who specialise in antique French beds. To this end it is furnished with antiques and a little fantasy, to be their visitors' house close to their own 17th Century farmhouse. It is 1 mile from the village of Orbigny and completely off the tourist trail. Yet 20 minutes in the car will take you to many chateaux, forests, restaurants and country markets. Orbigny, which has a butcher, baker and small general store, is in the departement of Indre et Loire (37), approximately midway between Blois, to the north and Loches, to the south.
There are great value air connections from Stansted
to Tours, (and, hopefully, once again this Summer from Dublin to Tours)
where it is simple to hire a car. There are excellent Autoroute connections
from the coast to within 20km of Orbigny.
