Outside

The grounds extend to approximately 1 ½ acres and are mostly bordered by a thick laurel hedge.

There is a gravel drive and parking area to the front under the shade of a chestnut tree.

To the rear is a large garden of lawn and a mixture of mature and more recently planted (15 years) hard and softwood trees. The boundary has neighbours on one side, the other sides being surrounded by fields.

Not being great gardeners ourselves, we have kept outside in grass rather than ‘garden’ as such. We have a local Monsieur who cuts the grass for us when necessary, which adds up to (unlike UK or Ireland) only 6 cuts a year.

There is an additional half acre field adjacent to the garden that can be made available under separate negotiation if required. (See Cadastral plan at the end of this page.)

In the summer months we grow quantities of tomatoes, lettuce, courgettes and herbs. We have Cherries, Mirabelle plums and grapes.

In a corner we have planted little Christmas trees for the future.

We keep hens for their eggs of course but also for the fun of it.

Not being resident there permanently, our kind neighbours take them when we are away.

The Little House has its own private area.

The official government plan of the property.

We have outlined the portion for sale in green.
The filled in green portion may be bought by agreement, at the moment it is worked by a local farmer.
