Les Assis is a traditional 17th century Touraine farmhouse, situated along a little chalk road 1 mile from the village of Orbigny and completely off the tourist trail. Yet 20 minutes in the car will take you to many chateaux, forests, restaurants and country markets. Orbigny,which has a butcher, baker and grocer, is in the departement of Indre et Loire (37), approximately midway between Blois, to the north and Loches, to the south. The Region is a foodie Paradise!
