These beds are not antique; we have made them in our showroom.
Having been asked so often over the years for ever larger beds, which just do not exist in the antique state, we decided to make our own to fill the gap.

We are lucky enough to have one of the best craftsmen in Ireland working for us; with his expertise and our knowledge and experience gained as antiques dealers, coupled with our customer’s suggestions, we have come up with these wonderful large bedsteads.

They are based on the styles of our genuine antique beds.

Prices include an upholstered base to fit modern mattress sizes.

Prices do not include a mattress but we can of course supply one.

If you like one of the styles we can copy it for you. Although, when we make a copy, it will not be exactly the same. We will be working with you to do what you want. The beds are individually made, and we always keep in mind how the original beds would look, to give us a sense of proportion and an individuality to work around.

Also, no two painted beds are ever the same. They are painted by hand and each one has its own character. We try to get the feel for the painted furniture we see on our buying sorties in the South of France. Each one is slightly different, a one-off.
