Unlike most modern headboards, our headboards are very substantial.
For example this one is 6’ wide, 4’8” tall at centre and 5’ 1” to top of side ‘Finials’
They are therefore much too heavy to be attached to a divan base, so they have legs to support the weight and we supply neat little hooks to attach them to the wall for stability.

As we make all our headboards individually, it means that we can fit in with your particular measurements

These Headboards can be painted any colour you like; it does not have to be the blue/grey of Provence; that was just the trigger for our enthusiasm!

The Headboards are all individually made, copying the decorative style of our antique beds to give proportion and an individuality to work around.
When we paint a bed we start from the beginning. We use different shades to get the gentle colours that we see in old French furniture; this means that no headboard or bed is the same as another.
We then use beeswax to give a finish and a sheen that looks as if the headboard or bed has been around for many years.
Each one is slightly different, a one-off.
