These decorative Louis XV beds are a favourite with our customers. They are flamboyant, voluptuous and undoubtedly French!
This revival Louis XV style was fashionable throughout France at the turn of the last Century.
What I find particularly appealing about this bed, apart from its great shape and carving is the fact that it appears to be made from rosewood, which has bleached to a much paler colour with the passage of time.
I find the colour intriguing. The colour of the crest, and the curve on headboard in the images below are a good guide.
