Art Deco Bedroom set
Ref 1365 UK£2300
Price to include a new upholstered base ready for a mattress.
Circa 1930

The bedhead is absolutely wonderful, we saw it placed against a wall with other pieces slightly covering it and at first glance we presumed it was a table top. We took another look, because it was it looked as if it might be an interesting table.

To our astonishment we discovered it was the head of a bed. We just had to have it!. To our added delight it is wide enough for a 5' wide mattress and base.

We asked to see the armoire and it has just the most lovely heart-shaped mirror door with a good deep bevel to the glass. It has three doors in all, and the interior is nicely shelved. It is not deep enough for hanging clothes.

Finally, the bedside cabinet is 'cute' on its impossibly spindly legs. (It was in the workshop so was not available for photographing, but we will get images of it after the Christmas break.)
I have though, taken a picture of the 'marble' top with its unusual colours of blue grey, black and white.

The relative simplicity of the style means that the set will look equally well in a traditional or contemporary setting. It is for us the epitome of Art Deco, very 'Eltham Palace'.
