| Ref 1357 UK£1800
Circa 1925
Price to include a new upholstered base ready for a mattress.
This bed shows off the fine boxwood veneer in a mahogany background
with the glamour and elegance we assiciate with the early 1900s.
It is also that little bit wider than the beds from the end
of the previous century, being a full 5' wide.
We bought it because we liked the condition and fineness of
the inlay and the quality of the bed. Also the gilded mounts
of rosebuds and tassels are quite pronounced and eyecatching,
balancing the proportions.
We found it in Chatellrault (Department 37) in the centre of
France
